My holidays

In the holidays I went to my cousins house. There names were Roza, Harris and David. We played games with our dogs Billie and Rocko. Then I went home and played with my little sister Joanne. We played hide ‘n’ seek. For dinner we had rice and crabs, I loved it. After we went to sleep. On the next day at 9:00 o'clock I played with my little sister Joanne again and we played tag. It was fun! I really enjoyed my holidays because I played with my little sister Joanne and my cousins.

Maths: Jenny and Problem Solving

Learner: Jenny
Area: Maths Level 2
Date: 20.03.18

In Maths, as part of Problem Solving we have put our learners into groups of four. They have been placed into mixed abilities for the purposes of learning collaboratively and based on the Key Competencies. Problem solving in maths requires our learners to work in a smaller group to solve word number problems. This is part of our design once a week.

Jenny has been working with other learners to develop her collaborative skills. She shows her capabilities by using materials and is beginning to share her thinking with others in her group. Jenny uses her curiosity by asking questions and making connections with her prior knowledge to further develop her understanding.

Key Competencies: Managing Self Thinking Relating to others Participating and Contributing and through the use of digital tools - using language, symbols and texts

Next Steps:
Continue developing your curiosity and connected skills.
Continue to practice your knowledge using Mathletics.

Art: Jenny and Sketching

Learner: Jenny
Area: Art - Visual Arts Level 2
Date: 20.02.18
In Art, some of the learners have been learning about drawing from their own perspective and what they can see. The learners chose a specific place inside the playground and had to sketch what they saw. We were practising sketching with different lines and looking at different shapes as well as shading. It was not an easy task but learners did try their best.

Jenny has been practicing her capability by trying hard to draw from her point of view and what she saw. She showed curiosity by looking for the best place that suited her in the playground. Jenny was able to work collaboratively with others by sharing space helping others if asked. She is beginning to make connections and use techniques already learned to help her with her learning.

Key Competencies: Managing Self Thinking Relating to others Participating and Contributing and through the use of digital tools - using language, symbols and texts
Next Steps: Practice sketching only what you see, practice shading,   continue to look at objects from your point of view and interpret what you see

Should Junk food be allowed at school?

Should junk food be allowed at school?

I disagree because…
It’s not good for your body,
It’s bad for your teeth,
It might make you die ealer,
You can have a healthy snack like berry’s,
Junk food does not make you smart!

THE END!
